Helmut Newton, voyeur or feminist?

Helmut newton, voyeur or feminist?sylvia gobbel, his muse, testifies.interview with sylvia gobbel (model & muse):he was a voyeur because every photographer behind his lense is a voyeur.whether it's a cameraman or a photographer, he's a voyeur, of course, there was nothing unhealthy about it.i've seen shows where helmut newton was almost insulted. i don't remember this famous feminist at the time, but she didn't understand anything.to me, he was a feminist because when he said he loved women, he just loved women for their quality of strength.newton always reflected on his time in the 70s, it was a provocative time.they were the first nudes that were shown in a vogue, french vogue.so that was a bit of a scandal.the feminists screamed what a horror!it's abusing women, etc.except that they may not have understood the spirit of newton. because in fact, the women there are not abused at all, we decided we were going to pose nude. and besides, when you look closely at these women, none of them are looking at the camera, they're looking above the camera, straight ahead, they know their way around. it is not men who will show them their way.there is no desire in these photos, not from the women, nor from the models, nor from the photographers. we're even pretty cold. we also did sitting. sat down, you can see right away, it has less strength because we are immobile when we are in motion. the photo was still prominent.i knew about the newton pictures, of charlotte rampling naked, sitting on a table, and i've never seen pictures of a more beautiful, naked woman.i said, if newton does that, i said, yes, i'll do nude like that.it's not nude of a sexual object for men, but the nude where a woman is dominant and decides, so it's naked where you feel more like a goddess rather than an object. he didn't like women who were objects, who were children, or reliant, who needed to lean on men.no no, newton liked men leaning on women's shoulders and that's what he wanted to represent because that's what he did with his wife.he was leaning on her, not the other way around. i don't think he will still be photographing women today.he's done everything.out 14th july in france
