Designer: Simon Porte JacquemusInspiration: The RivieraLocation: The Gardens of the Italian EmbassyCollection: A sensual collection composed of slit dresses with plunging necklines and sharp cuts. Materials used are light and fluid. Happiness and freshness characterize this collection by the Provencal designer inspired by the sun, the Mediterranean and the south.Focus: The fringed short dress, the initialized mini dress, dresses with Berber stripes, the white shirt dress, the mini short worn with a knotted shirt, the trench dress and the fine knit tight dress.Note: The XXL straw bag, sculptured heels and the series of swimsuits.Interview with Simon Porte Jacquemus:Some say it’s sexy, but I prefer the word sensual, I find it’s more poetic, I desire that women are pretty and sensual. Its cliché to say this, but it’s the truth. This is important for me with everything we see today. The Riviera is all this cliché that comes from Monaco and that also goes to Cannes, from the red carpet as well as the simple straw bag. It’s a simple idea which is only possible in summer but was not present, therefore I have the desire to talk about it.It’s true that there are a lot of very fluid and light materials which we are pleased to see in the collection. I have an obsession to make clothes that people will wear tomorrow.I never thought to do “80” in my silhouette but it’s there somewhere. It is also one of my obsessions, so I always try to add it into my collections.Large bags that are too big and mini ones that are too small, this is Jacquemus. Interview with Inès de la Fressange: What is distinctive among the models is that a lot of effort has been put into the collection, but we don’t feel it, it appears simple, fluid and light. Another thing that makes it distinctive is its kind of freshness, happiness with its sexy and beautiful women.Interview with Caroline de Maigret: Simon is passionate, he likes women, this is felt in his clothes both for everyday and to go out, to live, to dance, to celebrate, and to fall in love and it’s this that is so great.Music from the show (for use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information).
