MUGLER Spring Summer Women Collection 2013 in Paris (itw)

An electric buzz still reigns at the Mugler fashion show, reserved for handpicked guests. Without doubt aroused by an elaborate stage -his time in the basement of the Museum of Architecture in Paris- but also by the duo Sebastien Peigné- the womenswear designer- and Nicola Formichetti - artistic director of the house, very close to Lady Gaga, who wrote the music for the show. . A procession of a few minutes, with girls wearing very short skirts and dresses, often worn with shorts underneath. The laminated jersey and leather outfits give an armor effect. It's always about playing with volumes and the proportions at Mugler but for once, soft and summery. Around the warm colours of burgundy, chocolate, caramel, oppose touches of blue and bright yellow. And bags designed by Formichetti, a great novelty at Mugler, appeared for the first time.

Interview Nicola Formichetti :I felt that having this length, super short but we also made a little height shorts, underneath, so shorts and a skirt together and it created this new kind of proportion, and just like an oversized t-shirt, and it's very easy, urban, cool, it's what girls want to wear now, this is our first time we do that kind of thing, we wanted to go hip hop, urban and just very cool and nothing too much of a drama, just direct, great thing you want to wear, with bags, I love the bags it's crazy! I'm kind of obsessed about bags now.

Catherine Baba : I loved the structures and references of Samourai, the pleating, the many situations very `Goddess', between soft and fuzzy, but also with construction, I think that is Mugler.
