The denim trade show will be held in the Dutch capital on October 23-24, a chance for the sector to tackle the issue of sustainable fashion, as denim production in particular is condemned for its environmental impact.
The first edition of Kingpins Transformers: Ed, the new one-day conference for university students highlighting sustainability in the denim supply chain, kicks off at London’s Ravensbourne University on October 18.
The festival dedicated to denim is set to kick off on Saturday, boasting over 75 exhibitors, as well as panels, shows, exhibits and shopping opportunities, all linked to the event’s theme: “Denim From The Ground Up”.
The denim trade show continues with its itinerant formula, and will be held at Milan’s Superstudio Più venue on May 28-29. The session will put the industry’s sustainable initiatives in even sharper focus.
Having implemented a first round of mandatory standards for its exhibitors, the denim trade show’s organizers announced on Monday that it is partnering with the ZDHC for a new set of environmentally focused regulations.
Denim trade show Kingpins will be kicking off its next edition with a transformers summit on 23 October, followed by the Kingpins Amsterdam show on 24 and 25 October, highlighting the latest denim innovations.
