The store will be located in the St David's centre in Cardiff, next to Jo Malone and Cath Kidston on Tredegar Street. It will measure 1,829 sqft. and sell Seasalt's womenswear range as well as its new footwear lines. The store, which was designed by Seasalt's in-house team, has nautical features to give it a seaside feel.

Seasalt co-founder, Neil Chadwick, said, “We’re delighted to be opening our very first Welsh shop in St David’s as we continue to expand our business.  With such a great catchment, the destination was the obvious choice. We’re looking forward to meeting more of our customers and offering them our latest collections, designed in our studios in Falmouth, Cornwall.”

Michael Kors and Paloma also recently debuted at St David's, and Victoria's Secret has announced that it will open its first Welsh store here.

Speaking on behalf of the St David’s Partnership, Colin Flinn, regional director at intu, commented on the deal: “The addition of Seasalt to the St David’s line up complements our fantastic and thriving retail offer as we continue to be the destination of choice for national and international retailers looking to expand into Wales."
