Miu Miu chooses Coty for first ever fragrance

Prada’s sister company Miu Miu has entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with American fragrance giant Coty for the creation, development and distribution of a fragrance under the Miu Miu brand.

Founded in 1993 by Miuccia Prada, the young brand targets “sophisticated women who are receptive to new trends”. Over the past two years, Miu Miu has pursued its international expansion following the footsteps of the group flagship label Prada, which now boasts a solid retail network.

"The agreement with Coty, an internationally recognized reference in the luxury fragrance market, marks a major step forward in Miu Miu's development plan," said Patrizio Bertelli, CEO, Prada Group.

Miu Miu’s first fragrance is expected to launch in 2015. Since 2004, Prada has launched seven fragrances with Spanish group Puig.
