Lululemon athletica Inc, an athletic apparel retailer, has appointed Glenn Murphy, founder and CEO of FIS Holdings, to its Board of directors as co-chairman, effective immediately. Michael Casey would be stepping down from the co-chairman’s role and remain a director. Casey would also continue to chair compensation committee and remain on the audit committee.

"I am delighted to welcome Glenn to the Board as co-chairman. An experienced industry executive with more than 25 years in retail, he brings an established track record as a strategic operator across major retail brands," said David Mussafer, co-chairman of Lululemon.

"Glenn is a seasoned executive with global expertise and I look forward to leveraging his strategic thinking, skills and deep industry knowledge," said Laurent Potdevin, CEO, Lululemon.

Murphy is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and is responsible for leading the high-impact consumer-focused investment firm deploying a combination of operating guidance and capital flexibility, being a head of FIS Holding. Prior to founding FIS Holdings, Murphy has served in firms like The Gap, Inc, Shoppers Drug Mart Corporation, Chapters Inc and Loblaws.
