Coty creates vice-president of corporate communication position
American cosmetics group Coty has promoted Catherine Walsh to senior vice-president of corporate communication, a newly created position. Her appointment highlights the group’s intention of positioning the Coty name as widely recognized global entity.
“Catherine Walsh has been a key force in creating and developing the American portfolio of Coty Prestige since she began with us in 2001,” said chief executive officer Michele Scannavini.
In her new role, Catherine Walsh will work to promote Coty’s corporate image, to improve communications on financial matters and to increase corporate digital capabilities.
Catherine Walsh explains that her aim will be “to really insure that Coty’s name is one of the most recognized in the world. We have a lot of great stories to tell. I am pretty psyched to design the way the world sees us.”
