Zegna, the Italian premium menswear brand has appointed Nilly Foster as the new CEO of North America. She succeeds Luca Lo Curzio, who was promoted to the position in 2020 and has decided to leave the company to pursue another opportunity.

The new manager has more than twenty years of experience in the North American market and the luxury industry. For the past eight years, she has worked for the American subsidiary of Christian Dior, where she has been executive vice president of retail and wholesale for the past year.

Prior to that, Foster spent seven years at Ralph Lauren and three years at the American knitwear label St. John Knits, owned by the Lanvin group. She will take up her position at Zegna in mid-June.

North America is an important market with great potential for the menswear brand owned by the Zegna group. Listed on the New York Stock Exchange since December 2021 and owner of the American fashion house Thom Browne, Zegna currently has 53 shops in the US and is preparing to open others.

At the group level, the North American market accounts for almost 20% of its total sales, i.e. a turnover of 294.6 million euros, which jumped by 54.1% in 2022, 270 million of which were made in the United States alone (+53.5% compared to 2021).
