A pop-up store offering a selection of today’s hottest athleisure and streetwear styles for hire, from Gucci slogan t-shirts to Balenciaga’s Triples S trainers, will open at Westfield Stratford City next week in support of Save The Children’s Big Up Uganda initiative.

Titled ‘The Drop’, the space will house a curated selection of garments and accessories from coveted brands including Supreme, Axel Arigato and Trapstar. It will be the world’s first ever streetwear rental service, borrowing a model that has mostly found success in the occasionwear segment.

Opening on 6 December until 16 December, the store will be curated by fashion stylist and creative consultant Alizé Demange with hires starting from £10. Customers will be able to rent pieces for four or seven days.

The initiative will raise money for Save the Children’s Big Up Uganda initiative led by ambassador and model Adwoa Aboah and her friend Felix Cooper. The mission aims to help children recover from trauma by providing emergency healthcare, schooling psychological support and play camps.

The pop-up store builds on a similar initiative held at Westfield London last year: The Style Trial. Also in collaboration with Save The Children, The Style Trial offered over 140 party dresses for rent.
