Vilebrequin licenses PVH for ties

Published
Feb 13, 2015

Vilebrequin is stepping away from the beach... The French beachwear label, which is owned by the US group G-III Apparel, intends to continue to expand its range and is doing so through a new licensing agreement. Having expanded its seaside range to include the entire family, producing a ready-to-wear range and coming out with an ever more elaborate beachwear collection, the brand has now moved on to accessories.

For the first time, Vilebrequin is stepping outside of the beachwear box by signing a licensing agreement for ties. The brand is partnering with the group PVH through its subsidiary Insignia Design Group. As with its first swimwear lines, the range will be aimed at men and boys but, for the moment, will be reserved exclusively for the US market.

Made from Italian silk, the line will include neckties, bow ties and pocket squares bearing one of Vilebrequin’s signature elements: its prints. The collaboration will be released in stores in May, with the possibility of more products created between the brand and its new partner in the future.
