Iconic American fashion brand Tommy Hilfiger has teamed up with cult Japanese streetwear label AAPE by A Bathing Ape to create a 90s-inspired menswear capsule collection, set to go on sale on July 11.

Featuring polos, denim jackets, t-shirts, shorts, footwear and accessories, the Tommy Jeans x AAPE by A Bathing Ape capsule takes its inspiration from 90s street style and hip hop culture, as well as Tommy Jeans’ musical heritage, influences that are clearly visible in the collection’s oversize silhouettes, color blocking and thick-soled sneakers.

The capsule combines the instantly recognizable red, white and blue Tommy Hilfiger color palette with AAPE’s distinctive camouflage print and “Moon Face” logo. The co-branded pieces are finished with an exclusive hybrid Tommy Jeans x AAPE logo.

Launched as a diffusion line by A Bathing Ape in 2012, AAPE targets the young menswear market with comfortably cut, simple men’s streetwear pieces, designed to be worn as everyday staples. The label’s previous collaboration partners include Alpha Industries, Eastpak, NASA and Dragon Ball.

The Tommy Jeans x AAPE by A Bathing Ape capsule collection will go on sale at tommy.com and at the AAPE by A Bathing Ape and Tommy Jeans stores in Shanghai and Tokyo, as well at Paris’ Galeries Lafayette.

Fans looking for further details and updates concerning the capsule are encouraged by the brands to follow the Tommy Jeans Instagram account.
