Two new retailers have signed up to join the retail line-up at Tunsgate Quarter in Guilford when it opens in October 2017.

The revamped shopping centre is scheduled to open in October

British lifestyle store The White Company will relocate its Guilford store to a 5,000 sq ft space on the ground floor of the development, doubling the size of its presence in the Surrey town. The new shop will offer the brand's lifestyle products, high-quality home furnishings, and stylish clothing for women, men and children.

Sarah King, Director of Property & Estates at The White Company, said: "We have been trading successfully in Guildford for many years and have a loyal following of customers, but have been looking to increase the size of our store for some time. Tunsgate Quarter will allow us to showcase a much broader product range befitting our brand."

The retailer will be joined by beauty brand Bobbi Brown, which will be taking a 650 sq ft unit at the revamped shopping centre. Expressing the brand's unique philosophy, the store will be Bobbi Brown's first standalone shop in Guildford, showcasing its range of premium cosmetics, beauty products and expert services.

Also joining the retail mix is laid-back furniture company Loaf, which has chosen Tunsgate Quarter for the location of its first store outside London. The new retailers follow the signing of world renowned restaurant The Ivy Collection and luxury home furnishings brand OKA, which will anchor the 80,000 sq ft scheme.

Tunsgate Quarter, formerly known as Tunsgate Square, is a 1970’s retail centre which is currently being transformed by Queensberry into a vibrant shopping hub with high-end and premium brands and an inspiring leisure offer. The mall benefits from a prime trading location as it is situated in the heart of Guilford town centre, whose catchment population is one of the most affluent in the UK.

"Following the signing of The Ivy and OKA, these three additional brands further demonstrate the quality of the line-up we're creating for Tunsgate Quarter,” said Chris Daly, senior leasing manager at Queensberry. “We have agreed terms with a number of other premium operators that will be announced shortly.”

Once complete, Tunsgate Quarter will comprise 26 units in total, (18 retail units and 8 restaurants), and will connect the High Street with Castle Street.

The revamped shopping centre is scheduled to open in October.
