The exhibition displays the ties between over 160 creations from the Cartier Collection and some one hundred pieces from the collections of the Baur Foundation, as well as links between Cartier and Asia as created by Estelle Niklès van Osselt, the exhibit’s curator and an expert on China. 'Asia Imagined' offers a fresh perspective on the role that Cartier played in the discovery of Far-Eastern art.

The Baur Foundation, Museum of Far Eastern Art is comprised of over 9,000 Chinese and Japanese art objects that were acquired by Alfred Baur, the late Swiss collector. 'Asia Imagined in the Baur and Cartier Collections' is on view through February 14, 2016.
