Tesco supports Notting Hill Carnival with store makeovers

Tesco is supporting this year’s Notting Hill Carnival, the annual street party celebrating Afro-Caribbean communities in London, by giving its stores on Notting Hill Gate and Portobello Road a carnival makeover.

The stores were decked out with palm trees, oceanfront signs, bespoke ballons and bunting. Customers were invited to soak up the tropical spirit last Saturday with the help of the Ebony Steelband group who performed outside the stores.   

"We're absolutely delighted to be supporting this year's Notting Hill Carnival and were thrilled to host our very own Caribbean beach party in two of our local stores,” said Martin Smith, Tesco London Convenience Director. 

"The festival is such a vibrant and unique London event and we've made sure our stores near the parade have everything Carnival-goers need, from rum cocktails to plantain crisps. Stores across London will also be getting into the spirit with amazing Caribbean products and promotions." 

Tesco stores in London will offer special prices for its Caribbean range until Tuesday 30th August.
