Shop Direct crowned Top UK Etailer of 2016

Pure-play online retailer Shop Direct, with digital department stores Very.co.uk, VeryExclusive.co.uk and Littlewoods.com, was named Pure-play Etailer of the Year for the second consecutive year at the Retail Week Awards with Oracle.

The ceremony, which was held on 17 March in London, also saw River Island win an award for the Store Design of the Year and Net-A-Porter take home the award for the best Customer Technology Innovation of the Year.

In addition to the Etailer of the Year award, Shop Direct was crowned as Retail Technology Initiative of the Year and Growth Retailer of the Year.

In October 2015, Shop Direct announced a third consecutive year of profit growth for financial year 2015, as well as record 2015 Christmas trading. The company is currently in a transformation process from a catalogue business to a digital retailer.
