“The see-now, buy-now change in the fashion industry is leading brands to open up their fashion shows, and VR technology can truly democratize the runway,” Neha Singh, a representative for the experience said in a press release. “With VR, anyone can experience a fashion show as if they were sitting in the front row, and soon they will be able to purchase off the virtual runway too."

Ten different designers from around the world will show their collections during the presentation, including Lamour Ben Yosef, an Israeli bridal gown designer, German designer Sonja Tafelmeier, Premal Badiani, Fllumae,  and Invicta.

Viewers will be able to watch the runway presentation via Samsung’s Gear VR headset. The VR technology will allow any viewers or guests to virtually interact with the collections. The runway shows will be shot both in digital format and in 360 digital formats.

FTL Moda has been showing for over ten years at New York Fashion Week. The editorial/show production company acts as a bridge between the Italian fashion community and the North American market.
