Sacai celebrates DSML's 15th anniversary with exclusive collection

Dover Street Market London is turning 15, and to celebrate it, the retailer is partnering with an array of brands on multiple black-and-white collaborations.

These include an exclusive collection designed by Sacai, the Japanese luxury brand founded by Chitose Abe. Titled the ‘Sacai Gem’ collection, it features two hybrid coats that merge details of a Napoleon jacket and Mod’s style coat.

Available for men and women, they come in two colourways: in khaki and in black, in line with DSML’s 15th anniversary theme of ‘Monochromarket’.

Sacai is joined by Bottega Veneta, Nike, Gucci, The North Face, Paco Rabanne, Palace, Vans, Burberry and more, in celebrating 15 years since the opening of the department store’s original location on Dover Street in London.

The concept store moved to a larger heritage-listed building on Haymarket in 2016, but decided to retain its name, which had become synonymous with radical experiences and emerging design.

Founded by Comme de Garcons bosses Rei Kawakubo and Adrian Joffe in 2004, the multi-brand, multi-storey, immersive concept has been taken to Tokyo, New York, Singapore, Beining and Los Angeles, with six Dover Street stores and a Dover Street Parfums Market pumping new life into local scenes.

The collaborations launch on Black Friday, with the store running special opening hours from 11am to 6pm.
