Italian group Fashion Box, owner of the Replay, Replay & Sons and We Are Replay fashion labels, closed the 2018 financial year with a revenue of €237.9 million, compared to approximately €230 million in 2017. In 2018, 85% of the group’s revenue was generated outside Italy, and EBITDA was up 21% over the previous year.

“The positive performance we recorded in 2018 is the reward for our long-term strategy, based on a constant focus on product quality and on our ability to introduce a continuous stream of innovative projects,” said Matteo Sinigaglia, CEO of Fashion Box. “Besides these, another factor is our selective distribution strategy, which we manage directly as well as by means of striking carefully identified partnerships. We aim for sustained, healthy organic growth by developing new markets, as well as by strengthening our position on existing ones."

Last year, Fashion Box set up several projects in collaboration with foreign partners to expand its brands internationally. Above all, the partnership with Reliance Brands Limited, started with the Spring/Summer 2019, with a plan to open two flagship stores in Delhi and  Mumbai, as well as several monobrand stores and shop-in-shops inside India’s leading shopping malls, not to mention the introduction of the group’s brands on the most important e-tail sites in India in the coming months.

In December, Fashion Box set up a joint-venture company, of which its holds a majority stake, with Fashion Company, for the distribution of the Italian group's collections in Eastern Europe from the Fall/Winter 2019-20, specifically in Bosnia Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Romania. The plan is to open 8 monobrand stores by 2021 and to grow the group’s wholesale business in the region.

Fashion Box is also focusing on South America. Replay is in fact present in Brazil with five monobrand stores, two outlet stores and at about 200 multibrand retailers; in Colombia, where five new stores will be added by 2022 to the two monobrand stores opened in Bogotá and Medellín at the end of last year; and in Paraguay, where Replay is already present with a store in the capital Asunción and a retail corner in the Ciudad del Este department store.

The group is also consolidating its position in Europe, with double-digit growth in the wholesale channel, especially in northern and central Europe, and in Japan, where Replay is planning to extend its presence in department stores.

Fashion Box was founded in 1981 and is currently present with its labels in over 50 countries, at 4,000 multibrand retailers, 105 monobrand stores and 125 retail corners and shop-in-shops.
