Quiz names ethical compliance manager

Quiz, one of the fastest growing fashion brands in the UK, has hired an expert to oversee the sustainability aspects of its supply chain and drive responsible sourcing strategies.

Natasha Staddon, who has over 20 years of experience helping fashion businesses develop more ethical and sustainable practices, has been named as new ethical compliance manager at Quiz. She was previously ethical trade coordinator at Primark.

In her new role, Staddon will work closely with Quiz’s suppliers to ensure that all partners adhere to the company’s ethical code of practice and that the rights of all workers are protected at every stage of the production process.

The British clothing company said her appointment was part of its sustainability commitment, at a time of expansion. Quiz has delivered impressive sales since going public last year, with revenues up 30% in the year to end of March.

The increase in sales has also meant an increase in production, but the company said it remains committed to ensuring that “that all products are produced in a safe working environment, sourced responsibly and where workers’ rights are respected”.

“As a brand, fast fashion is in our DNA. Our test and repeat business model and ability to design the latest looks in house are core to what we do, but with this comes a duty to ensure our products are sourced and manufactured responsibly,” said Sheraz Ramzan, chief commercial officer at Quiz.

“We have a great relationship with our existing suppliers and many of whom we have worked with for a number of years. Natasha’s expertise and experience will help us further strengthen our partnerships worldwide as well as ensure that our business and ethical standards are met at every tier of our supply chain – a fundamental belief for Quiz.”

Staddon will report directly to the Quiz board.
