Pure London to showcase graduate talent on main stage catwalk

Pure London and Graduate Fashion Week have teamed up to provide a new platform for graduate designers to showcase their collections to buyers and industry insiders.

The next edition of Pure, taking place on 22-24 July at London Olympia, will see 10 of this year’s graduates from the Top 25 Graduate Collections showcase on the main stage catwalk.

“This year’s Graduate Fashion Week Top 25 collections were incredible and heartening for the future of fashion and creative design talent,” said Martyn Roberts, managing director of Graduate Fashion Week.

The 10 graduates who have been invited to participate include Aurelie Fontan from Edinburgh College of Art, winner of the M&S Womenswear Award, the Catwalk Textiles Award, and the Dame Vivienne Westwood Sustainable & Ethical Award.

Also taking part are David Band Textiles Award winner Marta Kazmierczak from Edinburgh College of Art; George Catwalk to Store winner Louise Clark from Manchester School of Art; Debenhams Menswear Award winner Hannah Gibbins from University of Brighton; Visionary Knitwear Award joint winners Fraser Miller from De Montfort University and Jacaranda Brain from Nottingham Trent University; and Catwalk Textiles Award runner up Maddy Stringer from Edinburgh College of Art.

The partnership with Pure is another step in GFW’s ambition to support recently graduated fashion designers and bridge the gap between graduation and employment.

The charity has launched the careers of some major successes, including Christopher Bailey and Stella McCartney.
