Prada has teamed up with Saks for an exclusive collection of special occasion dresses. The collection was launched in celebration of Saks’ new Prada store-in-store at Saks’ Fifth Avenue Flagship.

In honor of the new retail location, Miuccia Prada has designed twelve frocks, ranging from a simple black jacquard sheath to bold red wool-and-silk a-line dresses. Prices are in line with a regular Prada dress, starting at $1,980 and maxing out at just under $5,000.

The capsule collection will launch in-store and online Thursday, March 30th.

This is just the latest collaboration in Prada and Saks Fifth Avenue’s fruitful relationship. Last May, Prada launched a shoe customization shop-in-shop in the New York flagship,  where customers could create their dream version of Prada's 85mm-heel, pointy-toed pump.

Saks has been avidly pursuing expansion over the past few years under the direction of president Marc Metrick.

Saks launched a footwear-only store in Greenwich and gave several luxury brands, like Prada and Manolo Blahnik, spacious store-in-stores. The retailer has also been actively chasing the Canadian market, launching its first Canadian location in Spring of 2016, with plans to launch five more Saks stores over the course of 2017.
