Poundland trials mini shop-in-shop concept for Pep&Co

Poundland is determined to bring its value fashion brand Pep&Co to more stores across Britain, announcing the trial of mini shop-in-shops in smaller- size stores.

Pep&Co

Pep&Co is the UK’s fastest-growing brand, rolling out in hundreds of Poundland and Dealz stores across the UK and Republic of Ireland over the last 18 months.

The discount fashion label has already opened in most large Poundland stores where space has allowed, and now five smaller Poundland stores will open mini Pep&Co fashion shop-in-shops in England and Wales.

The retailer’s stores in Christchurch, Minehead, Margate, Swansea and Newport have begun offering customers the Pep&Co fashion range in shop-in-shops that are up to 30% smaller than in existing stores.

“We’re determined to become the retailer our customers are asking us to be,” said Poundland trading director Tim Bettley.

“Pep&Co, our fast-growing family fashion brand is a major part of that reinvention and this new pilot of a compact shop-in-shop will bring the best of our clothing ranges to our smaller stores.”

With prices starting as low as £1, the fashion brand is taking on Primark as the UK’s go-to affordable fashion destination. In addition to men’s and women’s fashion, the label sells childrenswear and accessories.

The smaller Pep&Co shop-in-shops will see the brand showcased in just 30 bays rather than the 90 in the largest Poundland shops.
