Pitti Uomo’s 88th edition promises to be colorful

Pitti Uomo has announced an energetic summer session filled with an explosion of colors and numerous new concepts. "That's Pitticolor!" the preeminent menswear trade show proclaims on its website, having chosen "color and colors" as the theme of its 88th edition to be held from June 16-19 in Florence.

The theme seems obvious, since it highlights "these colors that we are constantly immersed in and which surround us." "The language of color is also one of the fundamental codes of fashion,” announced organizers.

For the occasion, Pitti Uomo is launching a "digital art project" in June, inviting various directors to express themselves through a special project drawing inspiration from the show’s theme.

Luca Finotti has created Pitti Uomo’s first fashion film


Young photographer and video director Luca Finotti will debut this series of collaborations with Pitti Uomo’s first fashion film. The multi-faceted Italian, who has long been immersed in the world of fashion (he has worked at companies including Dolce & Gabbana), has created a high-energy and joyful video.

Taking Pitti Uomo’s cheerful and colorful theme as a starting point, the Finotti throws splashes of color at two young models smiling to the bustle of syncopated music, ironically referencing Action Painting...
