In an extension of its latest ‘Lovely Does It’ brand campaign, Oasis has become the first high street retailer to partner with a sports team to celebrate women’s interests outside of fashion.

Launching this Friday, the campaign features three members of the England Netball Team, Vitality Roses, who prove that women “don’t just look lovely, but do lovely”. It comes ahead of the Vitality Netball World Cup taking place in the UK (Liverpool) in July, and follows the team’s Roses’ gold medal win at the Commonwealth Games in 2018.

Ama Agbeze, England captain; Jade Clarke, England’s most capped player; and Eboni Usoro-Brown, three-time Commonwealth Games competitor, are featured wearing key looks from Oasis’ Spring Summer 19 collection in a series of individual and group shots.

The campaign developed by creative agency Red Bee also highlights each woman’s achievements both in and off the court, from mentoring schoolchildren, to practising law, to breaking sporting records.

“Vitality Roses is such a dynamic organisation at the moment, and we were so thrilled to be able to bring them together with Oasis,” commented Charlie Mawer, executive creative director at Red Bee.

Sarah Welsh, managing director at Oasis, added: “We are passionate about ensuring that the Oasis brand remains fresh, modern and relevant for our customer. Women today are multi-faceted and the polymath woman who chooses to shop with us has many interests outside of fashion.

“The success of the England Netball team in the 2018 Commonwealth Games has created a ripple effect resulting in a significant increase in amateur and community driven teams. It felt like a natural fit to collaborate with England Netball, taking lead from this team of inspirational women who are the embodiment of the Oasis woman: women who don’t just look lovely, but do lovely.”

The full campaign will roll out in-store and online across social media and owned channels from April 26.
