Net-A-Porter has enlisted the likes of Victoria Beckham, Isabel Marant and Alexa Chung to design an exclusive t-shirt for International Women’s Day.

Ellery, Rosie Assoulin and Perfect Moment have also collaborated with the luxury shopping platform, making up a total of six female designers joining the initiative to support Women for Women International, a non-profit organisation that helps women living in war-torn countries to rebuild their lives.

The six exclusive t-shirts explore each designer’s interpretations of women’s empowerment and courage. They celebrate strong and powerful women with messages such as ‘I am her’ (written by hand by Victoria Beckham), ‘You Go Girl!’ (Isabel Marant), ‘Divine Feminine’ (Alexa Chung) and ‘Power’ (Perfect Moment).

The designs have gone on sale on Net-A-Porter, with all proceeds benefiting Women for Women International, building on the 2018 campaign which raised enough to support over 170 women.

“We are delighted to, once again, support the humanitarian work of Women for Women International in partnership with six very talented female designers. It is an honor to, in some small way, help the incredibly brave and strong women the cause supports. The work of Women for Women International is a wonderful testimony of sisterhood and we’re proud to stand together in celebration of International Women’s Day,” said Alison Loehnis, president of Net-A-Porter and Mr Porter.

“Each t-shirt in this collection sends a powerful message of support, sisterhood and solidarity. Through this campaign and the vital funds raised, Net-A-Porter, along with six inspiring female designers, are helping to transform the lives not only of the women we work with but also their entire  communities,” added Brita Fernandez Schmidt, executive director of Women for Women International UK.

Also celebrating International Women’s Day with a collaboration is Yoox. The YNAP-owned online lifestyle and fashion store has teamed up with up-and-coming responsible brand Souvf on a collection of six statement t-shirts.

The designs are described as a rallying call to support gender equality, and the proceeds from their sale will benefit the newly established Souvf Foundation.
