The biannual show is returning on 19-20 February to the NEC Birmingham, giving directional and mainstream brands the opportunity to showcase their AW17 collections and establish valuable business relationships.

Having launched in the summer, the Active area is making a return to Moda Lingerie & Swimmwear with a selection of brands and diffusion lines that tap into the popular athleisure and wellness trend, including Bjorn Borg, Acai Activewear, Leg Code, Anita Active and Freya Active.

The exhibition will also bring back the Outdoor Lifestyle area with a comprehensive line-up that covers the menswear, womenswear and footwear sectors. Geox, Aigle, Didriksons, Alan Paine, Sebago and Grisport are some of the brands confirmed to return to the area for AW17, which has been arranged in line with exhibitor feedback.

The focus on new trends doesn’t mean Moda’s first target sector will be left behind. Moda Woman aims to confirm its position as the go-to area for contemporary and directional womenswear labels, with a mix of brands that includes new arrivals Slow Clothes, French Dressing Jeans, Mama B and Steilmann, as well as returning labels D.E.CK, Snoxell-Gwyther, Suzy D, Paola Collection, Latte, Sahara, Brodie Cashmere, Badoo, L’Argentina, and James Lakeland.

The UK’s largest trade show has also signed new footwear brands from comfort leader Hotter to directional Italian sneaker label Candice Cooper. Also showing are quirky British designer Joe Browns, Italian family lifestyle brand Nero Giardini and new arrival from the Florida Group portfolio Vionic.

Meanwhile niche brands will be showcased at the Edit, a pared-back area first introduced last year to give retailers the chance to discover new style inspiration. Within the area will be Arc Minute, CuffsCollars, Peter Werth, the Blue Shirt Company, Gresham Blake and Surf Perimeters for Moda Gent, and Fee G and Olvanhill for Moda Woman.

Finally, launching their new accessories collections will be new arrivals Silvarrie Walkway and Extremities, while returning favourites include Eliza Gracious, Accessories by Park Lane, Peace of Mind, Suzanne Bettley, Gaby and Boardman.
