Moda shapes up Gent section with new arrivals for August edition

Published
May 24, 2016

Moda Gent, the menswear section of one of UK’s largest fashion trade shows, is set to welcome a host of new names at its forthcoming edition.

Newcomers include Blue Tide and Rainstar, which will add new influences to Moda’s new Outdoor Lifestyle and unisex areas, launched at the show last February.

“Outdoor Lifestyle was launched in conjunction with our new unisex border and was a real hit with the trade because it filled that niche for contemporary lifestyle clothing targeting the wider apparel sector,” says Silvia Collins, event director for Moda Gent.

“In February, the area was characterised by winter outerwear, performance footwear and British heritage-inspired collections, all of which lent a strong identity of the Great Outdoors to the debut edition. This time however, visitors will see returning brands unveil their equivalent spring offer for the outdoor lifestyle sector, while new arrivals will add a distinct summer identity to the area with surf styling and beach culture influences.”

Iconic British heritage label Ben Sherman has also been confirmed by the organisers as a new exhibitor. The announcement comes months after the UK operations of the rock-inspired brand were by Leeds-based firm BMB Clothing.

Additionally, made-to-measure suiting brand Trinity Apparel will reinvigorate the formalwear spectrum with its brand new concept.

August will see 1,450 brands from across womenswear, accessories, menswear, footwear, lingerie and swimwear come together once again to present their SS 2017 collections at Moda.

The trade show will take place on 7-9 August at the NEC Birmingham.
