Mint Velvet has opened a new store at Liverpool One as premium accessories brand Kate Spade transformed a unit on Peter’s Lane into a temporary soft pink pop-up space.

The two womenswear brands joined the shopping centre in Liverpool in time for the busy Christmas shopping period.

Liverpool One, which is owned by property giant Grosvenor Europe, said the openings further establish Peter’s Lane as a hub for premium international brands.

Alison Clegg, director of asset management at Grosvenor Europe, commented on the openings: “We are certainly ending the year on a high with the unveiling of Kate Spade New York and Mint Velvet at the stylish destination of Peter’s Lane.

“It is great to have this robust line-up of brands available to Liverpool One customers as we approach Christmas, and look forward to seeing this momentum continue into 2020.”

This year, Peter’s Lane secured a string of new entrants, including Polo Ralph Lauren, Jo Malone London and luxury jewellers Rox.

The Kate Spade pop-up has been fitted out in the brand’s signature tonal shades of pink, rose gold and deep green. Gold showcases line the walls displaying the range of satchel bags, backpacks and mini bags, alongside the womenswear offering, jewellery and footwear. Gifts and home decor are also available in the 2,625 sq ft space.

Mint Velvet’s store, opened on 5 December, marks a milestone in the retailer’s entry into Liverpool. Designed by an in-house team, the 1,700 sq ft space has an industrial, modern look to showcase the brand's womenswear collection.
