The Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art opens its spring exhibit “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between” this week, and in conjunction with the show, the Met Store will sell an exclusive line of Comme des Garçons products.

The Met x CDG Pocket Shop will feature 11 pieces inspired by Kawakubo and classic Comme des Garçons creations. Among the clothes and accessories for sale will be unisex T-shirts, enamel pins, tote bags and, for the first time ever at the Met Store, shoes. The collection will feature the Nikelab Air Pegasus for Commes des Garçons sneaker, as well as an update on the lace sweater from Kawakubo’s fall 1982 collection.

The collection will go on sale on May 2 exclusively at the Met Store. Graphic T-shirts emblazoned with slogans like “Wear Your Freedom” will start at $65 a piece, while wallets and pouches will start at $105. The Comme des Garçons retrospective will run at the Metropolitan Museum of Art from May 4 to September 4. Throughout the show’s run, the Met Store will also sell other Comme des Garçons items, including the brand’s collaboration with Converse, as well as a catalogue detailing the pieces from the exhibition.
