Now in its fifth year, the event is preparing to host a new edition at the five-hall space of 55,000 sq ft at The Old Truman Brewery on 23-24 May. More than 5,000 visitors and 200 exhibitors are expected to visit the show, which promotes UK manufacturers and British-made brands.

“We pride ourselves on being the only 100% British sourcing event and believe that our new name is a stronger reflection of our core values,” explained on the brand on its website.

“This annual conference and trade show is already proving a magnet for thousands of designers, manufacturers, retailers and academics since its launch five years ago and we’re confident that our rebrand will be the fanfare to attract even more progressive businesses looking to source locally and reshore their production back to the UK.”

The trade show was launched in 2014 by former fashion buyer Kate Hills, who had previously created a site called Make it British in 2011.

The show aims to connect UK fashion and textile manufacturers and British-made brands with independent retailers. Brands looking to make garments or leather goods in the UK can attend the event to find the right manufacturers to work with, and British-made companies can find new suppliers.

Exhibitors include garment manufacturers, sample makers, textile mills and fabric printers as well as British brands with ready-to-wear collections, accessories and gifts.
