Lululemon names Meghan Frank chief financial officer

Published

Canadian athletic apparel retailer Lululemon Athletica Inc. has promoted Meghan Frank to the role of chief financial officer, effective November 23.

Meghan Frank, Lululemon's first chief financial officer - Lululemon

Frank will become the company's first female CFO. In the role, she will be responsible for the company's finance, tax, treasury, investor relations, asset protection, facilities, operations excellence and strategy functions.

With over 20 years of retail experience, Frank first joined Lululemon in 2016 as senior vice president of financial planning and analysis. She has served as interim co-CFO since April, along with Alex Grieve, vice president, controller for the company.

Frank formerly served as vice president, merchandise planning for Ross Stores and as J. Crew's vice president, financial planning and analysis and vice president, corporate planning. She has also held roles as director, special projects, merchandise planning for Saks Fifth Avenue and as director of merchandise planning for Bluefly.

“Meghan has a unique and comprehensive understanding of retail gained through her experience across finance and merchandise planning," said Calvin McDonald, CEO of Lululemon.

"Earlier this year, when we started to navigate the Covid-19 environment, Frank confidently took on more responsibility within the company and demonstrated agility, business acumen, and natural leadership skills. I’m thrilled to be working closely with her in her new role and benefiting from her strategic insights.”

“I’m honored to be taking on this role and working alongside an incredibly talented leadership team,” Frank added.

“We continue to see many opportunities ahead for Lululemon and I’m excited to be part of the journey as we further build on our momentum and work to deliver on our strategic growth priorities.”

The appointment marks the latest of recent hires from the company. In early November, the company added to its executive team by naming Adidas executive André Maestrini as executive vice president, international; Stacia Jones as vice president, global head of inclusion, diversity, equity and action (IDEA); and promoting Celeste Burgoyne to be the first executive to serve at the president level in her role leading the Americas and global guest Innovation teams.
