The London Designer Outlet in Wembley has become the first UK shopping centre to integrate the Dropit app which makes shopping easier for visitors by delivering their purchases to their home or hotel.

The service is expected to launch on 1 December, just in time for Christmas, and will be available across all of the centre’s 50 stores.

The same-day ‘from store to door’ delivery service launched in 2015 in partnership with Regent Street and is also available with a number of stores in Covent Garden. Its line-up of partner stores in Central London includes Coach, Jimmy Choo, Chloé, Liberty, Fenwick and Hunter.

To use the service, customers can find a Dropit Spot in a partner store via the app, and drop an unlimited number of shopping bags for £10.50. Depending on the time of purchase, deliveries can be arranged for next or same-day.

LDO centre manager Sue Shepherd commented: “The Dropit service has clear benefits for our diverse guests. Tourists, for example, can shop and still enjoy a day of sightseeing, knowing their shopping bags will be sent to their hotels.”

The outlet centre, home to brands including H&M, Kurt Geiger, Gap, Jack Wills, Superdry, Guess, Vans and Converse, also offers a free Shop ‘n’ Drop service where bags are stored to help visitors shop hands-free.
