BNPL giant Klarna has expanded its partnership with H&M, extending its ‘Pay in 3’ option to Ireland. H&M Members (those belonging to its free membership scheme) “will now have access to a simpler and smoother shopping experience online, with greater flexibility and control over how they pay”, we’re told.

The partnership gives them the choice to use Klarna’s ‘Pay in 3’ option online, letting them split any purchase into three instalments without any interest or fees.

Irish consumers will already be familiar with the Klarna offer with the firm having launched its services there in November 2021. It has now reached 500,000 Irish consumers and partnered with 800 merchants.

The latest move follows H&M using Klarna in countries including the UK, US, Germany, Poland and Sweden — both online and in-store — with more markets planned to go live by the end of the year.

It’s the 17th year of operations for Klarna overall and the company claims over 150 million consumers and partnerships with 400,000 merchants globally.
