On December 31, Cristina Scocchia will step down from her role as CEO of Italian beauty brand and retailer Kiko Milano, to pursue new professional opportunities in another sector. Formerly the CEO of L’Oréal Italy, Scocchia had joined Kiko Milano in July 2017.

After arriving at Kiko Milano, Scocchia spearheaded a major relaunch plan for the brand, notably overseeing its expansion in the Middle East and Asia. Under Scocchia, Kiko Milano broadened its footprint from 23 to 46 international markets. In 2019, Kiko Milano’s EBITDA reportedly doubled, reaching €58 million.

“During the pandemic, which had a major impact on brick-and-mortar retail, the company was able to react very nimbly. In Q1 2021, sales increased by 60% compared to 2020, and by 18% compared to 2019,” said Kiko Milano in a press release, indicating that the name of Scocchia’s successor will be revealed soon.

Kiko Milano was founded in 1997 and currently operates 950 stores in 46 markets. It is a subsidiary of Italian real estate and retail group Percassi.
