Kenzo launches sportswear-inspired line

Kenzo announced the launch of Kenzo Sport on Friday, revealing a ready-to-wear line with a touch of sportswear that rounds out the brand's men's and womenswear offering. Available now on the Kenzo e-commerce platform, prices for the line's apparel and accessories currently start at 90 euros.

While a number of brands are currently busy launching lines focused on responsible fashion, Kenzo has chosen sportswear as its next project. The line includes sportswear-inspired pieces mixing functionality and style, as well as a strong graphic identity. The Kenzo Sport line also has its own X-shaped logo, which is easily identifiable and distinguishable from the logo of the house's classic lines.

"A fully fledged stylistic entity, Kenzo Sport offers a wardrobe featuring bold, graphic text, where research in technical fabrics comes together with style and comfort. It is a distinctive line with functional and gender-fluid accents, based around movement and protection," explained the brand in a release.

The line's womenswear wardrobe includes t-shirts, sports dresses, sweatshirts, leggings, track pants and crop tops, while men will find t-shirts, tracksuits, hoodies and shorts. This apparel offering is complemented by a large selection of accessories, including sneakers, wallets, backpacks and phone cases.

Available online as of Friday, Kenzo Sport will arrive in stores worldwide on August 31. A pop-up store dedicated to the new line will open its doors on Paris' Rue des Archives from September 12.
