Kaia Gerber, Anok Yai and Hari Nef are just three of the models being honored by The British Fashion Council (BFC) at its annual Fashion Awards this winter.

The trio of catwalk stars has made the cut for the organization's second installment of ‘New Wave: Creatives,' which honors 100 of the most inspiring young creative talents from around the world, spanning careers in image-making, hair and makeup artistry, set designings, modeling, styling and more.

Weeks after the first 20 names were released in Shanghai, the list containing the names of the next 20 honorees has been announced in New York. In addition to Gerber, Yai and Nef, it features drag performer Aquaria, poet and author Cleo Wade, and musician and producer Lil Miquela, among others.

The news of Gerber's inclusion in the list will come as no surprise to fashion fans in the know, given the 17-year-old's stellar year: in 2018 alone she has taken to the catwalk for houses such as Chanel, Valentino and Versace, in addition to landing campaigns for Moschino and Marc Jacobs, and designing a capsule fashion collection with Karl Lagerfeld. Yai, meanwhile, has starred in campaigns for Prada and Estee Lauder, in addition to landing magazine covers for Dazed, i-D and Purple Fashion, while model and transgender activist Nef has stepped in front of the camera to front Gucci's ‘Bloom' fragrance.

The full list of the ‘NEW WAVE: Creatives' will be unveiled the week leading to The Fashion Awards 2018 in partnership with Swarovski, with the young creatives to be feted at The Fashion Awards 2018 in partnership with Swarovski on December 10 in London. The annual awards ceremony recognizes creativity and innovation in fashion, celebrating the designers and industry figures that have broken new ground over the past 12 months while raising funds for the BFC's educational initiatives.
