Combining over 550 years of brand heritage, the brands have created a capsule collection of pure cashmere knitted beanies, which will be available from September in-store and online at Lock & Co. Hatters and Johnstons of Elgin New Bond Street store.

The range includes two styles and four colours; the Watchman beanie comes in deep navy and soft brown, while the Ribbed Peak beanie will be available in russet and charcoal.

The collaboration marks the 340th anniversary of Lock & Co.

Managing Director, Sue Simpson, Lock & Co said of the collaboration: “We have had a longstanding relationship with Johnstons of Elgin, working together for many years, but this will mark our first official collaboration with them. Johnstons of Elgin have a very similar brand ethos to Lock, as well as being a family-owned business and joint Royal Warrant holders. Johnstons’ meticulous attention to detail, craftsmanship and quality is what makes them such ideal partners for Lock.”

Johnstons of Elgin, a family-owned brand with a strong focus on Scottish heritage, has been producing the world’s finest cashmere since 1797.

“It is a privilege to be able to collaborate with Lock & Co. Hatters on this incredible 340th anniversary. We love the new beanies and are proud to have been given the opportunity to work with the Lock & Co Hatters team to produce these exclusive products for Autumn/Winter 16,” said Simon Cotton, CEO, Johnstons of Elgin.
