Jo Malone signs up for permanent store at Intu Lakeside

Aspirational beauty brand Jo Malone has decided to open a permanent store at Intu Lakeside after running a successful pop-up store at the shopping centre last year.

The new 1,281 sq ft boutique will be located near top fashion brands including Hugo Boss, MAC and Calvin Klein, and will open in May 2018.

The premium fragrances and candles brand opened its first pop up store at Intu Lakeside last year, taking advantage of the mall’s affluent catchment spanning the south east of England.

It is now working with Intu to open the permanent space and be featured on Intu’s non-transactional shopping platform, which displays some of the products customers can find at its shopping centres.

Rebecca Ryman, regional managing director for Intu, said: “Located just 30 minutes outside London, Intu Lakeside is a prime destination for luxury retailers like Jo Malone London who have realised the potential to attract a high proportion of female and affluent customers across the region.

“The opening of the boutique strengthens the great retail mix at Intu Lakeside which provides a place for customers to shop, dine and play as part of their visit. This is the second Jo Malone London boutique within our portfolio and we’re excited to have them onboard.”

Jo Malone joins other aspirational and affordable brands including Pandora, Victoria’s Secret, Primark, Boss, Cath Kidston, Dune London and Kurt Geiger.
