Iguatemi Talks Fashion wraps up 4th edition with sessions led by top industry voices

From October 20 through 22, Brazilian mall operator Iguatemi Empresa de Shopping Centers presented the fourth edition of its fashion-focused event Iguatemi Talks Fashion. Usually hosted at the JK Iguatemi mall in São Paulo, this year, for the first time, the event took place via a free, online format due to the Covid-19 pandemic.


Italian designer Giambattista Valli opened the event - Iguatemi Talks Fashion


The event's fourth edition included talks and workshops on topics such as innovation, fashion, design, sustainability, business, creativity and trends, and brought together renowned fashion professionals, both from Brazil and abroad.

International participants included Italian designer Giambattista Valli, who provided the event's opening talk; Margherita Missoni, the creative director of M Missoni; Goop founder and actress Gwyneth Paltrow; Dutch trend guru Li Edelkoort, and FashionNetwork.com's own editor-in-chief Godfrey Deeny

Deeny, whose previous experience also includes periods spent as editor-in-chief of Vogue Hommes International and editor-at-large at Le Figaro, spoke to French-Brazilian designer and fashion executive Georgina Brandolini about the challenges being faced by fashion in the context of the coronavirus pandemic, and shared insights about the future of the industry.

As for homegrown talent, Iguatemi CEO Carlos Jereissati Filho also gave a talk, as did WGSN's Julia Curan and Larissa Gargaro, strategic partner manager for fashion and beauty at Instagram. Joining  them were former Lacoste Brazil CEO Rachel Maia, InBrands creative director Adriana Bozon and a slew of other Brazilian fashion professionals.
