Hugo Boss is taking over a unit formerly used by Carluccio's at Metquarter  to upsize and reconfigure its existing Boss store at the shopping destination in Liverpool.

The move will give the store a total of 10,500 square feet of space, allowing it to showcase the full range of the label’s premium collections, including ready-to-wear, shoes and accessories.

Boss is Hugo Boss’ core brand, focused on sharp cuts and clean lines, and known for its tailoring.

Due to reopen in March 2019, the expanded store will be given a new refined interior concept, with elegant crystal chandeliers and high-gloss materials.

“Boss expanding in the former Carluccio's space gives us a great fashion anchor at the front of the centre,” commented Stuart Harris, commercial director at Queensberry, the real estate company which partly owns Metquarter.

“We have a really exciting and transformative 12 months ahead for Metquarter with Kids Cavern opening in the next few weeks, Everyman in December, Boss and a fantastic fashion boutique taking the former Armani Exchange unit opening in Spring next year.”

The shopping centre has also recently agreed a deal with a premium food hall operator for a 16,000-square-foot space, where 10 food kitchens will open with a range of cuisines.

Jo Malone, Links of London, Jack Wills, Kurt Geiger and Gieves & Hawkes have also a presence at the aspirational shopping mall.
