Gucci showcases Elton John capsule collection at DSML

Gucci has created a special installation at Dover Street Market London with an ensemble of mannequins wearing the new Gucci Elton John capsule collection.

The capsule collection was first unveiled during the fashion house’s Spring Summer 2018 show in September. The range pays homage to the artist with men’s and women’s pieces inspired by his extravagantly colourful wardrobe, including looks that were originally designed by Bob Mackie and Annie Reavey.

It was well received by the public for its '70s inspired, showman suits, bold prints, oversized sunglasses and embellished everything.

It has been available for pre-order since March, but the hotly anticipated launch has taken place at Dover Street Market in London alongside the installation, which is located in the store’s ground floor Exhibition Space.

The showcase will be in place until Monday 23 April.
