Goldsmiths to open largest showroom and luxury space at Liverpool One

Luxury watch and jewellery retailer Goldsmiths is significantly increasing its presence at the Grosvenor-operated Liverpool One mall.

The Watches of Switzerland Group-owned brand is doubling the size of its existing store while also introducing its ‘Goldsmiths Luxury’ (GS Luxury) concept to the showroom, which will open later this year. 

Grosvenor said the move “demonstrates a notable vote of confidence in Liverpool One”, with the brand “investing considerably into the new store concept, which is set to be the brand’s largest location to date”.

Joining the existing Rolex unit on Paradise Street, the new store will undertake an expansive refurbishment in order to accommodate the GS Luxury concept. The multi-brand, luxury showroom will feature a premium hospitality bar and lounge area, joining its VIP consultation rooms and reputable service and repair specialists. 

The wraparound glass frontage and elevated interior design will showcase branded areas for prestige labels, alongside an array of premium names in jewellery, Goldsmiths said. 

Rob Deacon, Senior Asset Manager at Grosvenor, called the extension “a significant moment for both the brand and the destination. As the location of the brand’s largest Goldsmiths site in its portfolio, not only does it evidence the sustained demand for premium products here at Liverpool One but it also reflects our loyal visitor base and is another great endorsement of Liverpool One’s position as one of Europe’s leading retail and entertainment destinations.”

The news follows the recent signing of luxury beauty retailer Space NK, making its city debut at Liverpool One in June, joining the extensive range of premium lifestyle brands on Peter’s Lane.
