A new DSquared2 collection mixing influences and details with a nod to Canada, where the founding designers, Dean & Dan Caten grew up. Paris Modes TV's editor in chief Sophie de Champsavin shared her impressions on the presentation.

DSquared2 Milan Fall-Winter 2015/16 - PixelFormula

After celebrating their 20th anniversary in January for menswear, Dean & Dan Caten are now showing their latest line of womenswear, which references their origins in Canada.

On the catwalk fur and sheepskin take the most important role. The graphic and geometric designs impose a new aesthetic, mixed with a very strong military influence, with the re-worked, embroidered officer jackets, with trousers fitted on the calves or looser on the leg. A wardrobe constituted almost exclusively of trousers for the DQuared2 woman who remains ultra glamorous. Feathers, sparkles, rhinestones, gold threads, and tassels, adorn each outfit. A collection which mixes influences brilliantly, with a number of handcrafted details that take us on a journey to remote regions. Fashion that will keep us warm next winter!
