Department store business Fenwick has unveiled a collaboration collection with Samantha Cameron’s Cefinn label. The nine-store chain has been investing in new brands to reignite its fortunes post-pandemic and launched the new exclusive capsule collection in selected stores and online on June 3.

It’s a collection focusing on occasion dressing that hopes to make the most of the reopening of the UK post-pandemic. Reports suggest there will be a wedding boom this summer and autumn following massive cancellations last year. Other social occasions are also expected to be back on the agenda post-June 21, although that planned date for the final lifting of pandemic restrictions could still be changed if Covid infections continue to rise.

Cameron launched her label in 2017 after her husband stepped down as UK Prime Minister. She’d previously been creative director of accessories brand Smythson.

She said of the Fenwick link-up: “We were so flattered when Fenwick approached us to collaborate by creating an exclusive summer occasion collection. We took a selection of our best-selling silhouettes to flatter a variety of body shapes and designed a collection of dresses in two of our signature fabrics for summer parties, weddings, and events. We hope that they are perfect pieces for rediscovering the joy of dressing up again this summer.”

The capsule comprises six dresses, three of them with the brand’s popular Leopard Pansy print, with prices ranging from £290 to £370.
