The important textile-producing country will take centre stage at a time when the UK fashion sourcing industry begins to look for alternatives for a post-Brexit economy.

This is the first time such an initiative has put the spotlight on Moroccan manufacturing in the UK, said the fashion trade show, which will aim to shift the country’s reputation as a ‘far shore facilitator’.

Fashion SVP is working exclusively with AMITH, the leading Moroccan textile producers’ association, and AMDIE, Morocco’s official government export promotion organisation, to concentrate on the production of high quality middle market and luxury market knitwear and wovens, as well as top-end denim - all categories in which Morocco now enjoys an enviable reputation for first rate manufacturing quality, price and flexibility.

The Moroccan group of producers will be showing their latest collections of athleisure and sportswear capabilities, high street fashion separates, jackets, blazers and coats, and denim jeans, jackets and accessories.

Companies taking part in the project include Abdotex , Creation Clothing Group, Aryans Jeans, Maille City, Modatric, Bernitex, SDC, CM3, Manufacture de Textile de Sefrou, Team Mode Fashion, Crossing Denim, and Amdie.

A special ‘Moroccan Breakfast briefing’ will be held on the morning of 29 January.
