Emma Raducanu boosts Nike demand, Euphoria drives plaid dress searches - report

Sales aggregator website Lovethesales.com has been seeing some notable spikes in interest following key celebrity and TV moments in the past week.

Most recently, it said shoppers have been piling in to the Nike brand since tennis star Emma Raducanu won her match at the Australian Open. 

Tracking demand across 12 million global shoppers, it saw a 525% increase in fashion demand for ‘Nike Tennis Skirts’ over a 12 hour-period. At the same time, there was a 93% rise in fashion demand for ‘Nike Visors’. 

Looking more generally, demand for ‘Tennis Sneakers’ spiked 39% and ‘Tennis Dresses’ rose 23%.

It underlines the impact Raducanu still has following her US Open win last year and despite a weak record in the matches she’s played since then.

Meanwhile, in the 24 hours following the latest episode of the hit HBO Max show Euphoria, Lovethesales tracked fashion demand for items featured on the show and found a 395% rise in searches for ‘Plaid Dresses’.

Other popular items have included a 183% spike in demand for‘Green Bikini Sets’ and a 150% rise in ‘Seashell Necklaces’. ‘Plaid Trousers’ saw demand up 144% and ‘Green Cardigans’ rose 120%. ‘Peter Pan Collars’ were up 138%, ‘Purple Sequin Dresses’ up 132% and fashion demand for ‘Oversized Print T-Shirts’ doubled.
