This is the second location in Paris for the store managed by Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo and her husband Adrian Joffe. In 2019, the duo opened a store dedicated to perfume and beauty on the rue Elzévir in the third arrondissement. This time, the retailer’s new address is dedicated to clothing.

The ‘Little Market’ measures around 30 square metres  and is situated in the luxury district of the eighth arrondissement, at number 54 on the rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. The retail space is situated in the heart of the Comme des Garçons store, the fashion brand founded by Rei Kawakubo, and is dedicated to young designers. The layout of the space is creative and eclectic, populated by clothing, mannequins, and even a bed.

Seven designers and emerging labels are sharing the bill this season including Californian label ERL, Russian skate brand Rassvet, Victor Weinsanto, and Singaporean collective Youths in Balaclava. All of these brands are part of an incubator program launched by Dover Street Market Paris in 2019, which supports them according to their needs in sectors including production, business development, and communications.
