Now located directly opposite the dance studio, the new 700-square-foot store features the brand’s clothing and dancewear collections for women and girls, including activewear, seasonal collections, accessories and footwear.

Founded by Debbie Moore in 1979, the clothing lines are also stocked in many independent dance retailers in the UK and abroad, including Ireland, France, Gibraltar, Germany, Finland, USA, Australia and New Zealand. Fashion e-tailers including Amazon, JD Williams, Littlewoods, Next and Very are also stockists.

Debbie Moore, owner and CEO of Pineapple Dance Studios, commented: “Our location means a great deal to me as it is embedded in the heritage of the Pineapple brand.  Therefore, staying in this area was an obvious choice, especially since Covent Garden is the centre of dance in London, and has grown to be such a thriving retail destination over the last 40 years.”

Simon Taylor, property director at The Mercers’ Company,  commented: “The brand’s heritage is rooted within the arts industry and continues to be is a significant footfall driver for the estate.”

MORE OPENINGS IN THE AREA

Also opening in Covent Garden is skate brand Vans, which has signed to open a new 4,000-square-foot store on 5-7 Neal Street in the spring. The space will be used as a concept store, introducing a new product display and in-store experience.

Meanwhile, Boots is opening its new ‘store of the future’ format in a new 28,000-square-foot store at 110 Long Acre. Due to launch in the summer, the store will give greater emphasis to the retailer’s premium cosmetics offering and showcase new technology in health and wellbeing.

The choice of The Mercers’ Estate for all three of these brands, alongside some key retailer openings throughout 2018, reflects our full commitment to invest in this area of London and cements our position as a leading retail destination,” Taylor continued.

US sock brand Stance has recently opened a two-storey, 2,000-square-foot shop at 3 Neal Street.
