Cotswold Outdoor opens 80th store in Leicester

A 7,890-square-foot Cotswold Outdoor store with a Runner’s Need shop-in-shop has opened at Highcross shopping centre this weekend, marking the brands' debut in Leicester.

The opening is another milestone for Cotswold Outdoor, as it takes its total number of physical stores across the UK to 80.

A team of staff that includes experienced hikers, climbers, runners, campers and adventurers welcomes shoppers at the new store, which sells products from leading sports brands including The North Face, Jack Wolfskin and Salomon.

In addition to click and collect, in-stores services include free gait analysis through the Runner’s Need shop-in-shop. The dedicated space within the store showcases the latest products from leading running brands such as Nike and Adidas.

Elaine Wrigley, retail director at Outdoor & Cycle Concepts Ltd, said: “Customers can look forward to expert service and the very best selection of outdoor clothing and equipment alongside our extensive range of run footwear and clothing.”

Part of the same group, Runner’s Need stores tend to be combined with Cotswold Outdoor, CycleSurgery or Snow + Rock, providing a variety of specialised product under the same roof.

Cotswold Outdoor has also recently opened new locations in Surrey, Biggleswade, Dublin and London.
